Economic Outlook
Fractures in our Economic Foundation and Galvanizing Divides: Implications for Business Owners

Presented by Aspiriant

Please join Aspiriant’s Chief Investment Officer, John Allen, for a conversation about the current state of the economy. The tailwinds from monetary and fiscal stimulus have produced peak levels of corporate profitability. However, as stimulus has waned, the U.S. economy has shown clear signs of slowing. Businesses have begun to respond to the softening growth by pulling back on hiring, spending and investments. Notwithstanding the warning signals, the stock market appears unworried. Will U.S. monetary and fiscal policy be enough to engineer a soft-landing? If not, will there be a political solution to support employment, businesses, and financial markets going forward? Learn how galvanizing political divides make remedying a potential economic downturn more challenging and gain valuable insight into the forces shaping the economic outlook and how you as business owners can plan for and prepare your businesses to succeed, regardless of how the future unfolds.

John leads Aspiriant’s Investment Strategy & Research group. With more than 24 years of experience in investment management, John directs the firm’s investment strategy including asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
