Wealth management firm Triumph Wealth Management, LLC specifically focuses on the needs of business owners and those that support them. The Madison, Wis., company services businesses in 24 states. Many of the company’s clients are family-owned businesses.
“Helping our clients work ‘in’ the business while we partner with them to work ‘on’ the business is a critical part of how we are able to provide thought leadership to priorities like family, legacy, and growth for the communities they serve,” says President and Founder Nathan Brinkman.
Triumph Wealth Management’s Story
Brinkman has spent the last 27 years in the financial services business. His parents owned their own business, giving Brinkman first-hand experience with a family business. His career began at Northwestern Mutual, and in 2007 he started Triumph Wealth Management.“I wanted a more independent relationship with the financial services world,” he says.
Brinkman has been running Triumph Wealth Management for 15 years with the involvement and help of several additional key members including Chris Brinkman, Matt Noel, Zac Mulford, Kim Lancaster, Courtney Miller, Kayla Kubitz, Molly Konefes, and Alyssa Brinkman. He is very excited that his daughter is in the process of joining the firm as well.
FBC Impact
Brinkman has a unique connection to the Wisconsin Family Business Center. “I first began as a sponsor, then transitioned to a member. FBC has been a great source of information pertaining to the issues of running a family business,” he says.
As both a sponsor and a member, Brinkman says he loves to hear the stories of how other family businesses thrive. He also enjoys attending the FBC programs. He finds them motivational, inspirational, and an opportunity to improve himself and his business.
“FBC is a great place to learn and grow as a family business leader. Programs are designed to participate in an open and safe manner,” Brinkman says. “I always walk away with an idea to implement that will positively change my future.”
