Annual membership fees are valid from (July 1 – June 30). Fees include four in-person registrations for all FBC programs and events (peer groups are not included in the annual membership fee). Please visit the Member Benefits page for a complete list of membership benefits.

Membership fees are based on a company’s reported annual revenue.

Less than $2M = $2,000
$2M-$9M = $3,000
$10-$24M = $3,400
$25M-$75M = $4,700
$75M or greater = $6,000

Two or more family members are involved in the business (ownership and/or management) either simultaneously or over time, and the family has controlling interest.

If you are a closely held company and do not meet the above definition of a family business but feel you could benefit from the education and resources offered by the Family Business Center, please contact the FBC Director Sherry Herwig, sherry.herwig@uwfbc.org. An example of this might be a partnership of two to three unrelated owners who have or will have their own family members in the business.

Yes! Our program year is July 1 – June 30, however, new members may join at any time during the program year. We prorate the membership fee based on where we are in the program year so you will receive the full value of your membership fee.

Family Business Center programs are held at the Fluno Center in Madison, Wis. We also live stream most programs for members, sponsors, and guests who are not able to attend in person or live outside of the area.

We occasionally host programs and socials at other locations and will note the program location on the program registration page.

Yes. If you are a family-owned business who is interested in learning more about the Family Business Center or the program topic you may attend one time as a guest. Please contact FBC Director Sherry Herwig, sherry.herwig@uwfbc.org, if you would like to attend as a guest.

Family Business Center members and sponsors can access program recordings and materials on the Members Only Page of the FBC website. You must create an account with a login and password. Please contact FBC Director Sherry Herwig, sherry.herwig@uwfbc.org, if you need assistance or receive an error message.

The Family Business Center has a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available for organizations that would like to support family-owned businesses and the mission of the FBC. We limit sponsors to two per industry, so each sponsor receives maximum benefit.
